Great little place at N Broad and Northfield: Sakura (CLICK FOR SAKURA WEBSITE). The owner and sushi chef, James, is so nice, and he knows me now so I think he'll treat us especially well. Great selection of cooked stuff, and nice fresh sushi fish. Reasonable prices, generous portions, friendly service. Not trendy, just plain good! Even if you don't want a full dinner, come on out just for fun. If a full meal isn't in the budget, you can get just a miso soup for a coupl'a bucks, or a fried rice bowl for around 5. Hope you can make it!! NOTE RE SAKURA WEBSITE: It's an older website and the menu and prices are a little out of date, but not too far off. NOTE ON KOREAN BBQ: For those who are fans of true Korean BBQ, it's not quite traditional-style where you grill it up yourself at the table. That's no longer legal in Tennessee, since a Korean BBQ place out past the Opry burned down several years ago! But Sakura does serve the Korean BBQ-style dishes.
